Why FOXO4-DRi May Just Be Better Than HGH and Anabolics For Physical Performance and Enhancement
In the world of professional bodybuilding we often see evidence of what some call “doping” or, in common terms, anabolic steroid use. We all know this happens, in fact in the realm of bodybuilding, transhumanist ideals are blatantly evident. All that we want and all that we can do appears on full display, and when our limits are pushed and exceeded, the human physique is celebrated in all its glory, and the bar is raised for the future aspirations of our species.
In terms of their individual effects, HGH diverts calories in food towards protein synthesis and away from fat synthesis. When combined with anabolic steroids, the result for the athlete is increased muscle mass, less fat, and better ligament and muscle healing. These substances have been used together for a long time.
Some of the side effects associated with HGH and steroid use are as follows:
Men may develop:
- Prominent breasts
- Shrunken testicles
- Prostate gland enlargement
Women may develop:
- A deeper voice
- An enlarged clitoris
- Increased body hair
- Infrequent or absent periods
Both men and women might experience:
- Severe acne
- Increased risk of tendinitis and tendon rupture
- Liver abnormalities and tumors
- Increased low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol (the “bad” cholesterol)
- Decreased high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol (the “good” cholesterol)
- High blood pressure (hypertension)
- Heart and circulatory problems
- Aggressive behaviors, rage or violence
- Psychiatric disorders, such as depression
- Drug dependence
- Infections or diseases such as HIV or hepatitis if you’re injecting the drugs
- Inhibited growth and development, and risk of future health problems in teenagers*
Some of the side effects look menacing and some are downright frightening. Still, competition is fierce, and many athletes will take the risk for their moment of glory.
So what of the new substance on the scene called FOXO4-dri? This compound was originally developed as a senolytic, and if you are unfamiliar with the term, a senolytic is a substance that clears senescent or aged non-dividing cells from the body. These cells, when accumulated in high numbers in the body, cross a threshold of toxicity. The presence of too many stimulates a toxic chemical message to healthy cells, and cause those otherwise normal cells to also enter into a senescent state. This cycle is thought to contribute to the decline and decay of the body as it ages.
FOXO4-dri works with the mechanism P53, which uncouples FOXO4 from P53, causing the senescent cell to go into apoptosis and commit suicide. The immune system then clears the cell from the body. This was found in a series of animal studies using mice. The results looked very promising and the scientific community was hopeful that this substance would solve one of the mysteries of what ages our cells, and would provide a way for us to reverse some of the damage aging causes in humans.
A surprising side effect occurred however when some brave souls began testing this compound on themselves. With the dawn of human self experimentation, a variety of positive physiological effects were noted.
To some of the subjects who injected the compound, hair began to regrow where male pattern baldness was present. Treadmill times in middle aged men began to improve, muscle mass formed more readily, and skin texture was found to be more firm and smooth. The compound was not only turning back the clock in terms of the biological age of experimenters – it was also notably improving athletic performance. Subjects reported sleeping better, while also waking up earlier and being more alert and sharp upon rising. The results were significant, and more studies in humans is sure to yield more answers as to what this new therapy is actually capable of.
Could this new discovery eventually replace current HGH and steroid-based doping practices? Possibly. Dosages need to be tweaked and tested. Formal lab studies with double blind placebo groups need to affirm what many suspect. This new wonder drug could be the answer to enhancement and aging all at the same time, and further evidence will inadvertently emerge now that widespread self-testing has begun. The secret of FOXO4-dri is still a bit of a mystery, but the early findings look promising, and already it appears that this compound will be a safer alternative to HGH and anabolics.
As science continues to push us beyond our current physical limitations, morphological freedom may finally be within humanity’s grasp. The day will come when we can be exactly how we dream we can be, where we can be the true engineers of our own bodies and minds. This compound represents an important first step toward that end.

At L+ Magazine we are planning a pre-clinical trial for senolytics on a flavanoid panel first, then a FOXO4-dri trial on a 20 participant test group. To fund the trial we have set up an online store. Please purchase a product to support this very important work at store.longevityplusmagazine.com
